Lawrence Korhonen gets probation in sexual interference case
Fifty-three-year-old Lawrence Korhonen will spend 1.5 years on probation after being found guilty of sexual interference related to a 15-year-old-boy.
He was also sentenced to a day in jail, in addition to the 168 days of pre-trial custody already served.
Korhonen will also be on the sex offender registry for 99 years.
Charges of sexual exploitation, invitation to sexual touching, possession of child pornography, and breach of probation, as well as a breach of prohibition order were withdrawn.
Korhonen previously spent 90 days in jail in relation to propositioning a 14-year-old boy.
Thunder Bay police began its investigation into the latest case after a complaint was filed in November.
