A 28-year-old man has been taken into police custody after barricading himself in his home in the settlement of Frenchman's Head in Lac Seul First Nation, Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release.
Local police were called to a domestic dispute just before 1 a.m. CT Sunday and asked for assistance from the OPP's Sioux Lookout detachment, as well the North West Region Emergency Response Team.
At approximately 3:20 p.m., the 28-year-old man was arrested outside his home without incident. He was taken into police custody by Lac Seul Police Service.
The roadblocks within the community have been taken down and residents that were asked to leave their homes have been allowed to return.
