Premier Kathleen Wynne has returned Thunder Bay Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle to his old job.

Gravelle was appointed Minister of Northern Development and Mines in the new cabinet unveiled by Wynne on Monday. He held that portfolio for four years after he was appointed to the cabinet for the first time by then-Premier Dalton McGuinty in 2007.

In 2011, Gravelle was moved to the Ministry of Natural Resources.

Wynne named Sault Ste. Marie MPP David Orazietti to succeed him in that position.

The two are the only members of the cabinet from northern Ontario.
