Float plane crashes northwest of Kenora
Two people aboard a Cessna 180 float plane escaped serious injury after it crashed in northwestern Ontario on Friday.
Kenora OPP reported a small aircraft crashed while taking off from Upper Louise Lake, northwest of Kenora.
The pilot said the plane lost power about 45 meters over the water. He flew it into the trees on the shoreline, and the aircraft sustained extensive damage.
Transport Canada was advised of the crash by police.
