Thunder Bay firefighters were called to a house fire on May Street Wednesday afternoon.
Roofers had been working on the home and were on a lunch break when they noticed smoke coming from the residence which is located between Cumming and Dease Streets.
They quickly warned all occupants to leave the house.
“First crews on scene found flames showing from the roof area. They pulled a 45 mm line to extinguish the flames from the roof,” said Platoon Chief Kelly Keeling.
Firefighters also entered the house to fight the fire.
There were no reports of injuries.
Keeling said the fire remains under investigation.
