Daniel Badiuk of Dryden dies after highway collision

Dryden motorcyclist Daniel Badiuk died in Thunder Bay hospital today from injuries suffered in a collision on Highway 17. OPP have charged a motorist with failing to yield.

37-year-old motorcyclist was injured on Highway 17 on Monday

A Dryden man died in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre today after being injured while riding his motorcycle yesterday.

37-year-old Daniel Badiuk was struck by a vehicle turning onto the Trans-Canada Highway in Dryden, in front of the OPP detachment.

OPP have charged a 20-year-old Dryden woman under the Highway Traffic Act with failing to yield.

Police say her passenger vehicle was turning westbound onto Highway 17 when it collided with Badiuk's eastbound motorcycle.  

She suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from hospital.
