Christopher Silman, 29, found dead in Lake of the Woods

The body of a swimmer who went missing Saturday on Kenora's Lake of the Woods has been recovered, provincial police report.

The body of a swimmer who went missing Saturday on Kenora's Lake of the Woods has been recovered, provincial police report.

Winnipeg, Man. resident Christopher Silman was last seen swimming near Bigelow Island around 9 p.m. on Saturday. Witnesses said they saw him dive into the water. When the 29-year-old did not re-surface, police were called.

The following day, at about 5 p.m., the OPP Underwater Search and Rescue Unit recovered Silman's body in the area where he was last seen.

A post-mortem examination was scheduled to take place today.
