Former and current CBC staff, as well as listeners, fans and dignitaries are gathering today to celebrate 40 years of CBC Radio in Northwestern Ontario.

The station first began broadcasting as 'CBQ' in 1973. It's a day of celebration for a community that lobbied for a local CBC station four decades ago.
