A Thunder Bay man has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting sent a man to hospital in the early hours of Saturday morning.

An Ontario Provincial Police news release says an altercation broke out between two men at a get-together at Pace Lake, when a third man stepped in and fired a gun.

The shooting injured one of the two men who were initially involved in the fight.

A 28-year-old man from Thunder Bay was taken to hospital in Thunder Bay with non life-threatening injuries.

Casimir King, 27, of Thunder Bay faces charges of attempted murder and careless use of a firearm. He was scheduled to appear in court on Sunday.
