One person is dead and two others missing after a boat capsized on a Sioux Lookout area lake Thursday afternoon.

Provincial police report eight people from Lac Seul First Nation were travelling between Hudson and Frenchman's Head when they encountered rough lake conditions.

After the boat capsized, six of the occupants made it to shore.

One of the boaters, 39-year-old Kevin Brisket from Frenchman's Head, was taken to hospital in critical condition. He later died.

OPP said they are still searching for two men — a 19-year-old and a 30-year-old.
