Provincial police have released the names of two teenagers killed in a crash on Highway 11 on Wednesday.

Provincial police have released the names of two teenagers killed in a crash on Highway 11 on Wednesday.

OPP report 16-year-old Shaylee Beaulieu-L'Heureux of New Liskeard and 17-year-old Emily MacKewn of Haileybury died after a vehicle crashed with a tractor trailer on Highway 11 at Highway 558 Wednesday afternoon. 

Members of the OPP Temiskaming are currently investigating.

The tractor trailer unit was northbound on Highway 11 when the automobile with five occupants attempted to cross the highway, police said.

The two teens were passengers in the vehicle and have been pronounced dead. 

The driver and two other passengers were transported by ambulance to the hospital where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Highway 11 has been re-opened in both directions as the investigation into the collision continues.
