Sudbury police find naked man in distress

Sudbury police say an 18-year-old man was taken to hospital Sunday night after he was seen running nude into the bush in the New Sudbury area.

Sudbury police say an 18-year-old man was taken to hospital Sunday night after he was seen running nude into the bush in the New Sudbury area.

Police report a witness driving by called 911 just after 3:30 p.m. to report that a man with no clothes on was running into the woods near the old Barrydowne Arena.

Officers, with the help of the canine unit and a helicopter team, found the man at about 6:15 p.m., in the downtown area.

The man was in a medical crisis, police said.

The man was taken to the Sudbury hospital for assessment, and was treated for minor injuries to his feet and hypothermia.
