A man is in police custody after a pursuit in New Sudbury Sunday night — and officers are looking for a second man wanted after the chase.

Sudbury police say at about 10:30 p.m., officers tried to pull vehicle over on Lansing Avenue, but the driver refused to stop.

After a short chase in the residential neighbourhood, police say the cruiser pulled over, at which point the vehicle in question came back and drove directly at the officers.

There was a second chase onto Lasalle Boulevard, which ended on another residential street when the sought-after car crashed into a vehicle parked in a driveway.

Two men fled on foot and people started calling police to report suspicious people sneaking through backyards.

One man was found hiding and was arrested. He faces a host of charges, including marijuana trafficking.

Police are still looking for a second suspect.
