Ontario Provincial Police have lost one of their own, following a motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 on Monday.
Kara Huffman, 34, died of her injuries in hospital, after a collision with another vehicle near Fielding Road, west of Sudbury.
Constable Lucie Sirois said Huffman, who was based in Espanola, leaves behind her husband and two young children.
"She was a great person and she was contagious,” Sirois said.
“That was the beautiful part about Kara. If you happened to be having a down day, and you saw Kara, I don't know how you could have a down day. She was just that vibrant and that upbeat."
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the investigation is on-going.
OPP are also still investigating a fatal crash near Britt on Highway 69 Monday afternoon that left one person dead.
The name of that victim has not yet been released.
