Steelworkers report on miners' deaths due Wednesday

The United Steelworkers union is set to release the findings of its investigation into the deaths of two miners in Sudbury.
26-year-old Jordan Fram and 35-year-old Jason Chenier were killed in Vale's Stobie mine in June, 2011. The two men were buried by loose rock and mud on the 3,000-foot level of the mine.
The Steelworkers Local 6500 has spent eight months looking into what happened, and will share details of the report Wednesday.
The union said it has a number of recommendations for improving underground safety, and will be asking for what it calls "immediate action" from the Ontario government.
Vale released the results of its investigation into the deaths last month, along with 30 recommendations.
A Ministry of Labour investigation is still ongoing.
