Police intercept drugs en route to First Nations communities

Nishnawbe Aski Police have seized more than $31,000 worth of drugs headed to communities on the James Bay Coast.
Police said they apprehended the drugs in two separate incidents of drug trafficking last week.
The catch included marijuana, oxycodone and amphetamine pills. The drugs were intercepted before reaching the First Nation destinations of Moose Cree (Moose Factory) and Attawapiskat.
A 39-year-old man from Timmins and a 26-year old man from Moose Factory are facing drug-related charges, including Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Breach of Undertaking.
