OPP investigate fatal crash near Kirkland Lake

Provincial police in Kirkland Lake are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on Saturday.

Provincial police in Kirkland Lake are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on Saturday.

OPP report the collision on Highway 66, east of Kirkland Lake, was reported at about 1:30 p.m. A passenger van crossed the center line on the highway and collided with a dump truck.

The driver of the van, 74-year-old Euclide Gauthier of Virginiatown, was killed.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
