New Sudbury without power Monday morning

Two power lines near Barrydowne Road remained down Monday morning, shutting off power to homes and businesses in the southern Barrydowne area and parts of the Kingsway.

Two power lines near Barrydowne Road remained down Monday morning, shutting off power to homes and businesses in the southern Barrydowne area and parts of the Kingsway.

Sudbury Hydro crews were able to temporarily reroute and restore power to about 8,000 people in the New Sudbury and Minnow Lake area of Greater Sudbury early Monday morning, but the utility company could not give an estimate on when power would be restored in the Barrydowne area.
