More talks ahead for city-school board land swap deals
Sudbury city councillors have said "no deal" to a land swap proposed by the Sudbury District Catholic School Board.
The trade would have allowed a new elementary school to have of a regulation-size soccer field on a section of a New Sudbury municipal park. The soccer field won't be regulation size without the park-land.
In exchange, the city was to receive land from one of the schools the board is planning to close in the area.
New Sudbury ward councillor Fabio Belli said the two sides will continue to find a solution that works for everyone.
