A father and daughter thought missing after failing to return on time from a weekend camping trip have been located, according to Sault Ste. Marie police.
Robert Pilot, 47, phoned home Monday morning to report that he and his 11-year-old daughter were on their way home, police said.
Police reported earlier the pair left on a camping trip on Friday north of the Sault, and were thought to be headed to the Ranger Lake area. After they failed to return home on time, police began to co-ordinate with OPP in a search effort, said Sgt. David Baskcomb Monday morning.
