Man stabbed by acquaintances in Sudbury's Flour Mill area
Sudbury police are investigating a home invasion and attack in the Flour Mill area of Sudbury Tuesday night.
Around 8:30 p.m., a 46-year-old man was in his home, alone, on St. Lawrence Street when three people entered, police report.
The man was beaten with a crow bar and stabbed twice in the back with a knife.
He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Neighbours reported a vehicle fled the scene with four people inside, police said.
Two 17-year-old males and an 18-year-old Sudbury man were taken into custody and charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of marijuana and breaching various court orders.
Police report they believe the attack was not driven by robbery, but rather, was personal, as the assailants and the victim knew one another.
