Sudbury police say a man who was hit by a vehicle earlier Wednesday has died.

Around 7:30 a.m., police responded to a collision at Paris Street and Notre Dame Avenue in downtown Sudbury.

A man was hit on Paris Street by a vehicle.

He was taken to Health Sciences North where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are not releasing his identity at this time.

The collision is currently being investigated by the police’s Traffic Management Unit.

The intersection is now open to traffic.

Valley collision sends driver to hospital

Also Wednesday morning, police were called to another motor vehicle collision at Valleyview Road at Municipal Road 80.

A vehicle travelling north was struck by a southbound vehicle.

One driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

That intersection is now open. Police said the matter is still under investigation.
