Some Sudbury families in need this Christmas season may go without a holiday feast.

The Adopt-a-Family for Christmas program is lacking sponsors.

The program provides a full day of meals — including a turkey — for families in need.

The chair of the Guiding Light Food Bank said, while it's too late to adopt a family on Dec.24, Christmas may be able to come later for some people.

"If somebody wants to sponsor someone for Christmas, after Christmas, we can still try to arrange that too," he said.

"I know there's going to be a few families that aren't going to have Christmas, but that doesn't mean they have to have Christmas [on Dec. 25]. They can have Christmas at the end of the week."

Kutcher credits the economy for the lack of sponsors this year.
