Graffiti wall becomes work of art
A wall in Sudbury that was tagged and painted with graffiti has a new look.
Under the guidance of the Greater Sudbury Police, a group of artists have repainted a wall on MacKenzie Street, near the city’s downtown.
The mural is hoped to divert graffiti artists that "tag" the area with spray paint.
After months of painting, the community seems pleased with the outcome, said Katie Fenerty, the lead artist on the project.
"We've had really positive feedback so far [and] all the neighbours are loving it," Fenerty said. "[We’ve had] lots of honks when people drive by.
More than 40 people worked on the project.
