Forestry worker death inquest starts Dec.3
The deputy chief coroner for inquests says a date has been set for an inquest into the death of 19-year-old Mathieu Labreche.
Labreche died on May 16, 2005 from injuries received during his course of forestry employment in the Timmins area.
The inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act and is expected to hear from six witnesses over three days beginning on Dec. 3.
Dr. R. Sawkiw will preside over the inquest, which will examine the circumstances surrounding Labreche's death, and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
