Sudbury police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting incident in the Donovan early Wednesday morning.

Sudbury police have arrested two people in connection with a shooting incident in the Donovan early Wednesday morning.

A 45-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman were attempting to rob a man in his home on Donovan Street, police said.

The man is alleged to have produced a knife. Police said the 63-year-old resident then retrieved a rifle and chased the man back to a car where the woman was waiting.

The two have been arrested and face a number of charges, including robbery with a weapon.

On Wednesday, police also arrested the resident and filed a number weapons charges against him. They have since charged him with a drug trafficking offence.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.
