Coniston crash victim, 4, was ejected from truck

A 4-year-old who went to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 17 in Coniston Thursday morning is now listed in stable condition.

A 4-year-old who went to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 17 in Coniston Thursday morning is now listed in stable condition.

The child's mother, a 32 year old woman from Coniston, suffered minor injuries.

OPP said the crash happened at about 8:45 a.m.

Their preliminary investigation revealed the eastbound pick-up truck left the roadway, rolled-over and struck a rock cut. The child was ejected from the vehicle.

No details have been released on the cause of the crash, but police are reminding people to secure their children properly in car seats.
