A fire at a saw mill in Timmins was still smoldering Monday.

Fire crews responded to a call from the Eacom Timber mill at about 9 p.m., Sunday.

No injuries were reported, however the mill sustained significant damage.

The Eacom Timber Corporation McChesney mill is located on the east side of the Mattagami River, and is known as the oldest and longest running sawmill in Timmins.

The extent of the damage won't be determined until company officials can go onto the property.

Fire crews are still on the scene dousing hot spots.

The company said about 120 people work at the mill. About 150 more work as foresters, loggers and provide trucking for the mill.
