As Prime Minister Stephen Harper's meeting with First Nations leaders nears, CBC News reports on the issues behind Idle No More and how the movement's message is being received.

The National looks at the issue from three distinct perspectives:

• Reporter Chris Brown spoke with two members of the Stó:lō Nation on the Fraser River in British Columbia to discuss their spiritual and cultural connection to the environment and what they see as the government's threat to natural resources.
• In Toronto, reporter Nick Purdon talks with artist Keesic Douglas, who discusses his aboriginal heritage and the stereotypes he faces in a city where, for the first time in his life, his identity is up for debate.
• Reporter Cameron MacIntosh looks at how the Idle No More movement is being received by non-aboriginal Canadians — be it with sympathy, criticism, or apathy.
