Showing off swivel hips that would do a running back proud, PSY rocked the Rogers Centre Gangnam Style on Sunday.

The South Korean rapper's show was short but sweet — the length of his signature song during halftime of the NFL game between the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks.

Wearing sunglasses, a black jacket, glittering black dress pants, white shirt and undone black bow tie, PSY walked onto the field before taking the small stage at the 50-yard line.

Four white-clad dancers accompanied him, strutting their stuff in front of tall red, white and blue inflatables that waved in the air.

The Buffalo Bills cheerleaders took up position in front of the stage, which was also surrounded by a star-like array of amateur dancers who followed PSY's dancing lead.

"Make some noise," PSY yelled mid-song.

The crowd obliged, offering up an impressive roar.

"Let me see you dance," he added.

Some took him up on the challenge, mock-riding and waving a lasso.

It was over all very quickly. The PSY juggernaut moved on in mere minutes.

Bumpy road for PSY

While success continues for PSY, the road has been a bit bumpy of late for the 34-year-old smiling rapper whose real name is Park Jae-sang.

A middle-aged Englishman died of an apparent heart attack in front of his wife and co-workers minutes after dancing to Gangnam Style at his office Christmas party. His wife was celebrating her birthday at the event in Darwen, Lancashire.

And PSY issued an apology earlier this month after word that he had participated in concerts protesting the U.S. military presence in South Korea during the early stages of the Iraq war. The rapper, who attended college in the U.S., said the protests were part of a "deeply emotional" reaction to the war.

American MMA fighter John (Prince) Albert apologized after using Gangnam Style as his walkout music at a recent UFC event in Seattle. He said he had been unaware of the anti-American controversy.

The Gangnam Style video debuted in July, going viral. The official video has rung up more than 963 million hits on YouTube and spawned numerous parodies and tributes.

Celebrities from Madonna to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon have tried their hand at the Gangnam Style moves.

Last month, the Rogers Centre rocked to Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen and Marianas Trench during the Grey Cup halftime show.

Bieber, PSY and Jepsen will share the limelight on New Year's Eve.

Bieber is part of the West Coast lineup for ABC's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve while PSY and Jepsen will take the stage in Times Square for the New York portion.

PSY had time to tweet about his accomplishments prior to taking the Rogers Centre stage, writing "Still at 9th spot in the UK @officialcharts!!! Been there for 17 weeks!!! LongLiveGangnamStyle!!"
