CBC News has been bringing you minute-by-minute proceedings from the courthouse in Belleville, Ont., where Col. Russell Williams's sentencing hearing took place. Williams pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder, two counts each of sexual assault and forcible confinement, and dozens of break-ins and attempted break-ins. He was sentenced to two terms of life with no chance of parole for 25 years on the murder counts alone (full story here ).
We were able to provide this coverage because of a judge's order allowing smart phones and laptop computers to be used by accredited reporters in the courtroom. Note that we cannot accept comments from the public because of a court-ordered publication ban on the identity of one of the surviving sexual assault victims.
