All three family members found in the swimming pool at a Best Western hotel in Gananonque, Ont., have died. (CBC)The last of three members of a family found with no vital signs in a Gananoque, Ont., hotel swimming pool on the weekend died Tuesday.
Sunaila Kaianad, 11, died in Kingston General Hospital. She and her mother, Naila Yasmin, and 14-year-old sister, Kinza, were found Sunday in the indoor pool at the Best Western hotel about 30 kilometres east of Kingston.
Paramedics sent all three to hospital, where Yasmin died Sunday and Kinza perished Monday. Their autopsies indicated they had drowned.
None of the three could swim, and it is not clear how they gained access to the pool, which was apparently locked.
The family was on vacation, and the father had been elsewhere in the hotel with the couple's two sons at the time.
The Ontario Provincial Police have been called in to help with the investigation.
