Media map: CTV sells TV stations to Shaw

Shaw Communications bought three struggling television stations from CTV for $1 apiece in April 2009.
The deal adds two A Channel stations, in Wingham and Windsor, Ont., and a privately owned CBC affiliate, CKX in Brandon, Man., to Shaw's modest TV empire. Shaw acquired CJBN, a CTV affiliate in Kenora, Ont., when it bought Norcom Telecommunications in 2006.
This network map shows the media holdings of Shaw Communications and CTVglobemedia, the parent company of CTV. The three stations that changed hands are in orange. The arrows show ownership relationships, e.g. Torstar owns part of CTVglobemedia, which owns the CHUM radio network, which owns CKCE-FM in Calgary.
