She will also be on probation for three years.
HIV can cause AIDS. There have been no reports of positive HIV tests connected to Murphy's activities.
Murphy had sex with a soldier from CFB Borden, about 100 kilometres north of Toronto.

The case sparked fear at the base early this year as a number of other soldiers came forward with similar accusations against Murphy.
Murphy, a native of St. John's, N.L., will serve her sentence in Newfoundland.
The sentence was a joint recommendation of the Crown and defence.
Several years ago, Murphy told CBC-TV in St. John's that she had tested positive for HIV in 1994.
