The Ontario government wants to amend or repeal more than 100 provincial laws to cut red tape and make the government more efficient.

Enterprise Minister Jim Flaherty has introduced an omnibus bill that repeals 15 laws and amends almost 90 others.

Flaherty says the changes will make Ontario's courts more efficient, crack down on medicare fraud and offer more consumer protection.

For example, rebuilt air bags in cars will be banned in Ontario and the government will impose larger fines on people who defraud the health-care system.
