American rocker Ted Nugent visited Toronto Sunday, despite previously saying he was boycotting visits to Canada.

Though he was in Toronto to speak for Canadian Music Week, the real motivation for both the visit and his boycott seemed the same: Ontario's January cancellation of the bear hunt.

Nugent, a gun enthusiast and ardent hunter, slammed the decision.

He has speculated that Ontario Natural Resources Minister John Snobelen could be on drugs. Nugent also says animal rights extremists have threatened to kill his children, and recently threw tofu at him in Los Angeles.

Nugent's explanation for such activism is simple. According to him, "they're all Michael Jackson fans."
