RCMP officer undergoes second operation

RCMP constable Laurie White, who had her leg amputated on Friday, has undergone a second round of surgery and is reported to be in stable condition in Vancouver General Hospital.
Family and friends are now with her and according to RCMP Sergeant Russ Grabb, that's boosting her spirits.
"The good news is her mom and dad are here, and her brother's here, and she's very much buoyed by the incredible groundswell of public support from across Canada and from the policing community" he said.
White had to undergo eight hours of surgery after she was shot in the leg on Friday night.
She and two other officers were trying to execute a warrant at a house in Kitimat. She was shot from inside the house. Ronald Hoag, 44, was later found dead inside the house after apparently shooting himself.
