What to do with your Halloween pumpkin?

Halloween is over. It’s time to clean up, and pack away the decorations until next year. The City of Saskatoon wants to help by opening up its compost depots to your old pumpkin and the leaves from the decorative orange Halloween bags out in your front yard.

Saskatoon compost depots open

Another sugar fuelled Halloween is over and reality is setting in. It’s time to clean up and pack away the decorations until next year.

The City of Saskatoon wants to help by opening up its compost depots to your old pumpkin and the leaves from the decorative orange Halloween bags out in your front yard.

The compost depots are on McOrmand Drive, just north of 8th Street East, and on the corner of Highway 7 and 11th Street.

But remember, the city wants your pumpkins and leaves, but not your bags.

The compost depots are open from 9 a.m. CST to 6 p.m. CST daily until November 8th.
