What's open and closed New Year's Day in Saskatoon

A number of city services will be unavailable on New Year's Day.

Parking is free, but many city services are closed

A number of city services will be unavailable on New Year's Day in Saskatoon.

City Hall and the Saskatoon landfill are both closed on Wednesday.
Parking is free, but people still required to move vehicles within the time period posted on parking meters.

If you do run into parking problems and your vehicle is towed, the Municipal Impound Lot will not be releasing vehicles on New Year's Day.

All indoor arenas, the Shaw Centre, Saskatoon Field House, Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre, and the Lakewood and Lawson Civic Centres are closed. 

If you're planning to spend the day reading a good book, all Saskatoon Public Library locations will be closed.

Garbage and recycling collection will take place as scheduled.

Saskatoon Transit will operate with regular Sunday schedules.
