The president's residence at the University of Saskatchewan will sit empty next week.

As former president Ilene Busch-Vishniac moves out, interim president Gordon Barnhardt does not plan on moving in.

University officials said the living space will remain vacant for now, but the home's public space will continue to be used for functions.

The 101-year-old mansion is provided rent-free to the president. It is among the original buildings built on campus.
