Two dead, three in hospital following Saskatoon car crash
Two men are dead after a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 16 and Marquis Drive
Two men are dead after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highway 16 and Marquis Drive Thursday afternoon.
Police told CBC News the deceased were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Police said around noon a vehicle travelling eastbound on Highway 16 struck a vehicle that had entered the intersection travelling southbound on Marquis Drive.
Three other people involved in the crash have been sent to the hospital with unknown injuries and another person involved was unharmed, according to police.
In total, six people were involved in the fatal collision.
Motorists are advised that eastbound traffic on Highway 16 is being diverted at 71st Street to Idylwyld Drive. The Collision Analyst Unit is investigating and police expect the intersection will be closed during Thursday evening rush-hour traffic.
