A Toronto man charged with a fatal nightclub shooting in Saskatoon last year will stand trial.

Shamsa Noor, 24, is charged with second-degree murder.

A provincial court judge ruled at a preliminary hearing that there is enough evidence to warrant a trial. It will be at Court of Queen's Bench. No date had been set.

Noor is accused of killing 31-year-old Macdonald George outside Scratch nightclub on May 21. Witnesses say that George was shot trying to break up a fight.
