Power out

Six Saskatoon neighbourhoods were without power Monday morning. (CBC)

The thunderstorm that whipped through the city last night knocked out power for people living in a number of Saskatoon neighbourhoods.

Saskatoon Light and Power suggests that tree limbs may have come into contact with power lines, disrupting electrical service for people in City Park, Queen Elizabeth, Montgomery Place and the CN Industrial area.

Crews have since restored power in those areas.

This morning, the power also went out in Varsity View. The utility is working to find the problem, and fix it.
