City Hall will release the proposed 2014 budget tonight

Saskatoon will get its first look at the 2014 preliminary civic budget tonight at council.

It is possible rate payers could see a tax increase as the City of Saskatoon has been under increased pressure to a better job with things like snow removal, and maintaining streets. Last week, the city revealed that it’s still dealing with a significant deficit this year. The city hopes to break even by the end of the year.

Saskatoon's City Council will start debating the proposed budget in the first week of December.
