Saskatoon Tim Hortons hit by truck

Greasy road conditions contributed to an accident where a Toyota Tacoma caved in a wall at a Saskatoon Tim Hortons.

Employee sent to hospital for observation

An employee at the Clarence Avenue South Tims Hortons was sent to hospital this morning after a half-ton truck smashed into the side of the restaurant.

The accident happened just before 8 a.m. CST.

A female employee was in the back storage area when the truck hit the wall. The collision knocked shelving and boxes onto the worker.

Her injuries are described as not serious.

The truck's driver said that he slid into the curb and then panicked, accelerating into the wall.
