Saskatoon police probe gunshots inside west side home

Saskatoon police are investigating after gunshots were heard inside a home on the city's west side.

Saskatoon police are investigating after they received a report that gunshots were heard fired inside a west side home.

Officers responded the 10 block of Barr Place just before 7 a.m. CST Saturday. People in the house were found to be unharmed.

Fe Bremencamp lives next door to the house from which the sound was reported. She says four emergency vehicles were parked in front of her home when she woke up around 7 a.m. this morning.

"I saw three cops and a paramedic," Bremenkamp said. "There was a woman carrying a little boy, I don't know, maybe three years old."

Bremenkamp says she saw police drive the woman and child away from the house.

Other neighbours told a CBC reporter at the scene that they have seen police visit the home before.

Officers were seen searching for evidence atop the roof Saturday morning. Police say they're still investigating.
