A 12-year member of the Saskatoon Police Service has been charged with common assault after what is being described as a domestic incident early this morning.

Police said they were called to a home on Rosewood Boulevard around 4:00 a.m. CST to investigate a domestic incident.

Police spoke with the female and male residents of the home. A police news releases stated that “the woman was not injured.”

Constable Robert Brown, 40, was taken into custody by the investigating officers and is charged with one count of common assault.

He will appear in court on February 4th. The police service said that an administrative review of the incident will take place once the court process has concluded.
