Saskatoon police are investigating a case of indecent exposure.

Yesterday afternoon, an eight-year-old girl told police she had been stopped by a man while walking home from school.

The girl told police a man driving a black van stopped her, got out of his vehicle and began touching himself inappropriately. He was not wearing clothes from the waist down.

The girl raced home and called the authorities.

"Certainly, we're investigating this very aggressively right now," police spokesperson Alyson Edwards said. "We have no reason to think that this is anything but a legitimate complaint."

Police are searching for a man in his mid-60s, with a moustache and possibly a goatee.

Police said children should always walk in pairs and watch out for any suspicious activity.
