Saskatoon police arrest teen after dragging man with vehicle
16-year-old man allegedly dragged a 53-year-old man two to three blocks after altercation
Police in Saskatoon have arrested a 16-year-old boy after he allegedly dragged another man several block with his vehicle.
Police said the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon after an altercation near Eastlake and Hilliard Street.
Witnesses told police that a vehicle with two young men drove through the area and yelled insults at a woman on the street.
A 53-year-old man, who was with the woman, got into his own vehicle and followed the teens. After travelling a short distance, the 53-year-old got out of his vehicle, and reached inside the teen's vehicle.
The man was then dragged about two to three blocks before the vehicle stopped and he was able to free himself.
A short time later, police took the 16-year-old driver into custody.
The 53-year-old man suffered minor non-life-threatening injuries.
Charges against the 16-year-old are pending.
