Saskatoon man robbed of cigarettes with sawed-off shotgun, police say
No one was hurt, suspect ran away
A Saskatoon man was robbed of his cigarettes at gunpoint Wednesday night, according to Saskatoon police.
At around 10 p.m. CST, police said a man was approached in the alley of the 1100 block of Avenue W N.
The suspect asked the man for cigarettes. After giving him one, the man allegedly pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and demanded the entire pack.
The victim handed over the cigarettes and the subject ran off.
Police are searching for a six foot tall man, 20 to 25 years old with a medium build and short buzz-cut hair. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a black sweater with DGK across the front in gold.

Good samaritan driver stabbed
Meanwhile, police say a 42-year-old man was robbed and stabbed after giving three people a ride early Thursday morning.
Police say the man offered a ride to three strangers and picked them up near 22nd Street W. and Avenue H. Once they arrived on the 800 block of Confederation Drive, the trio robbed and stabbed the man.
Officers are searching for two women and a man. Description of the three suspects is vague.
The investigation is ongoing.
